Supporting the Polymer Engineering Manager, you will monitor and adjust processing equipment on the manufacturing line, produce accurate and reliable data, interpret results and maintain records in accordance with required procedures.  Whilst conducting Research and Development, you will run trials with a view to developing new products to complement our existing product portfolio in accordance with ISO Standards

The successful candidate will manage, monitor and maintain the various Management Systems to ensure compliance with Irish, British and European Product Standards, customer requirements and any third-party accreditations.

You will liaise with our purchasing department to ensure we purchase quality materials from external suppliers.

Setting standards for quality, health and safety and environmental, carrying out internal audits, recommending changes, and liaising with the production team are also key aspects of this role.

You will hold at least a 2:1 honours degree in Polymer / Chemical Engineering or a Mechanical Engineering degree with Polymer /Chemical specialism and have an interest in developing your skills in this critical specialism

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a flexible attitude, have the ability to work on their own initiative, make decisions, set and achieve targets and prioritise workload.  Knowledge of Polyurethane Foam production is desirable but not essential.
