ICT SERVICE DESK ASSISTANT INTERNSHIP Ref. MI/99997

A University of Milan is looking for someone to join an internship program in the role of ICT service desk assistant.

You will join the ICT Unit and have the opportunity to support the team in the Front Office activities of the Department Service Desk. In particular, you will be able to contribute to the following activities:

- 1st level Service Desk (Front Office) for Department staff, both on-site and remotely (Windows and Linux). 

For example:

- Printer/WiFi/VPN/email configuration;

- Entry-level troubleshooting;

- Support for on-site IT audit activities;

- Installation and advanced configuration of individual workstations and/or computer rooms, including various types of computing and engineering software (Windows and Linux);

- Hardware diagnostics and maintenance for PCs, notebooks, and workstations;

- Audio/video support for departmental meeting rooms;

- Logistical support in IT asset and warehouse management;

- IT office support activities for identifying requests and gathering information, with possible escalation to the 2nd level;

At the end of the training course, you will be familiar with the strategies and architectures, hardware, and software specific to a complex organization, as well as have knowledge of operating systems.

You will also have direct experience of a complex network infrastructure and the main communication protocols used in enterprises and data centers.

Entrerai a far parte della Unit ICT e avrai la possibilità di affiancare il team nelle attività di Front Office del Service Desk di Dipartimento. In particolare, potrai offrire il tuo contributo nelle seguenti attività:

- Service Desk 1° livello (Front Office) per gli afferenti al Dipartimento, sia in presenza che in remoto (Windows e Linux). 
Ad esempio:
- Configurazione stampanti/WiFi/VPN/e-mail;
- Troubleshooting entry level;
- Supporto attività di audit IT on-site;
- Installazione e configurazione avanzata postazioni individuali e/o in sale calcolo, compresi software di calcolo ed ingegneristici di diversa tipologia (Windows e Linux);
- Diagnostica e manutenzione hardware per PC, notebook e workstation;
- Supporto audio/video per le sale riunioni dipartimentali;
- Supporto logistico nella gestione degli asset e del magazzino IT;
- Attività di presidio dell’ufficio IT per identificazione richieste e raccolta informazioni, con eventuale escalation al 2° livello;

Al termine del percorso formativo avrai acquisito familiarità con le strategie e le architetture, hardware e software, proprie di una Organizzazione complessa, nonché una conoscenza dei sistemi operativi.
Avrai inoltre un’esperienza diretta di un’infrastruttura di rete complessa e dei principali protocolli di comunicazione usati in ambito enterprise e nei centri di calcolo

IDEAL PROFILE: High school diploma, good knowledge of English. Good knowledge of the Office suite (preferable)

PROFILO IDEALE: Diploma , buona conoscenza lingua Inglese. Buona conoscenza del pacchetto Office (preferibile).
