OJ Electronics, an innovative producer of underfloor heating solutions and HVAC drives and controllers, is looking for an engineer to join the hardware side of our ambitious and successful R&D department.
Together with experienced colleagues across R&D and other departments, you will be designing, simulating and validating the electronics for our next-generation thermostats, HVAC controllers and sensors – ensuring products that are robust, efficient, and ready for large-scale production.
As a key member of our R&D team, you’ll develop innovative circuit designs, performing simulations, calculations and verification work. You’ll work with software developers, mechanical experts and production technology specialists – all working together to make standards-setting products, often tailor made in collaboration with leading customers.
In this position, you will report directly to our hardware R&D manager.
Your role
At OJ, you’ll be expected to:
- Design, simulate and validate hardware solutions
- Document your work in accordance with established practices
- Help prepare offers and estimates for future projects
- Ensure alignment with software developers, mechanical developers, our manufacturing team, and product managers
- Contribute your knowledge to broader discussions of future projects and technologies
Our expectations
- A candidate with 5+ years hands-on experience in transferring hardware designs into reliable, cost-efficient production designs of general analog, digital, SMPS, power electronics, and MCU circuits
- Familiarity with ECAD tools and circuit simulation (e.g., PSPICE)
- Knowledge of general MCU (internal) peripherals and their functionality and use cases
- Basic understanding of how embedded software interacts with hardware (e.g., configuration and use of MCU peripherals)
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as a strong team player
- Fluency in English, Danish a plus
- Preferably, experience with EMC/EMI design and testing, noise mitigation, quality and reliability
