We will entrust you to:

  • Develop applications and microservices used both internally at airBaltic as well as by external clients and partners;
  • Collaborate with business analysts and system administrators to design optimal solutions;
  • Automate tests and deployments;
  • Support other team members, where needed, by sharing your knowledge and expertise.

What You will need to succeed:

  • Min 2 years of professional experience;
  • Advanced skills in modern Java development. We are using Spring Boot (Web, Security, Cloud, Integration), Apache Camel;
  • Frontend development experience with modern Javascript (ECSMAScript) frameworks (we are using Vue.js);
  • Knowledge about API design (Swagger, RESTful);
  • Solid SQL knowledge;
  • Knowledge about dependency management, build/deployment tools (we are using Jenkins, Gitlab CI, and Ansible);
  • Experience with Git;
  • Basic security awareness (at least OWASP Top 10);
  • Ability to learn and evaluate new tools, concepts, and challenges quickly.

Will be considered as an advantage:

  • Experience with other programming languages, such as Scala, PHP, Javascript, Python;
  • Experience with messaging queues (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ);
  • Experience with Kafka (KStreams) and/or Event-driven architecture;
  • Scalability, Docker, K8S.
