Welcome at our Data Excellence team! You probably wonder what it means to be on board of the team? Well, it means being responsible for the lifecycle of Data, Business Intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) related information systems. More specifically: the development of new applications, the continuous improvement of existing applications, as well as the day-to-day IT support. We are part of CT-IS (Compressor Technique - Information Services) which delivers services to the Compressor Technique (CT) business area of Atlas Copco. CT-IS employs about +100 people.

We are looking for a professional with excellent delivery skills, combined with a good technical background to join our motivated team!

Key challenges as a Data Engineer

In this diverse role, you will - to a large extent- develop and implement data. This means you will collect, analyze and share data to help business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience and business results. To do so, you will closely work with the BI analyst/Key user during implementation. 



Furthermore, you will implement data structures using best practices in data modeling, processes and technologies. Performing data conversions, importing and exporting of data within and between internal and external software systems are some of your challenges. 



Your analytical approach allows you to explore the data and discover patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends. Moreover, you will take the lead in the integration efforts for merging BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications.

You are also responsible for quality assurance: ensuring the collected data is within required quality standards, is one of your priorities. You will maintain the quality of Metadata Repository by adding, modifying and deleting data.

You also provide production support which involves you troubleshoot BI tools, systems and software. Thanks to your result oriented approach you are able to track, monitor and analyze performance and production issues, and to implement improvements. You support and help manage external resources, such as service providers and vendor support.

You have a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or are equal by experience. This role requires 5+ years of related technical experience. But most importantly: you dispose of a “can- do” approach which means you are not afraid of making errors and are willing to learn by doing. Moreover, you have experience in following domains:

• Database administration
• Business intelligence tools and systems
