Category Buyer: Direct Materials

As category buyer responsible for direct materials , you will manage the relationships with semiconductor wafer foundries on management level. Independent and experienced; you will bring your expertise to our growing team. You will

• Establish sustainable long-term relationships with key suppliers by liaising between suppliers and company stakeholders, in order to ensure transparency on business objectives and capturing this in a contractual framework.
• Make sourcing decisions; administer the bidding process in order to secure items and services within our budget and requirements
• Ensure that the business consequences of these sourcing decisions are transparent for all stakeholders.
• Develop a sourcing strategy within a certain category by performing cost analysis, scenario analysis, appropriately assessing the buyer-supplier power balance and forecasting impact of price trends on future activities
• Work in a highly motivated, close team on other global purchasing projects

Profile:

• You have your Master’s in Economics or Commercial Engineering or engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience in a commercial role
• A background in the microelectronic industry is a big plus
• You are a born influencer, with excellent business English skills
• Experience in dealing with external partners and suppliers in an international environment
• You are ready and willing, when needed, to visit our suppliers on premises, and are prepared to take urgent action
• As this is a global role, you are an experienced work traveller
• You are a positive, team player with sound objective judgement
