  • Advice on starting own business

Centre for Information and Career Planning provides services to people over 18.
We support both people in employment and those out of work.
All our services are free of charge.

Centre for Information and Career Planning offers a range of services:

One to one appointments

Typical topics for discussion include, for instance:

  • preparing applications (CV and cover letter)
  • exploring particular occupations including the job market and potential employers
  • exploring further study options
  • preparing business plan
  • other issues tailored to the client’s needs.

We also offer a selection of questionnaires and psychometric tests including version in English, Spanish and other languages.
Doing a test can help identify professional preferences, define areas of strength or weakness and simplify making a decision on the choice or change of the profession.

Workshops and group work

We offer a range of free workshops designed to:

  • improve job seeking techniques
  • explore recruitment methods
  • preparing applications (CV and cover letter)
  • practice job interview and get constructive feedback on interviewee’s performance
  • increase knowledge of setting up business.

Training groups consist of 12 participants max.

Help by email

Information and advice are provided via email to clients who are unable to use the career service in person or by phone. This service is suitable for information on careers related queries, advice on CVs and applications.
However, not all enquiries can be successfully answered by email therefore we highly recommend personal contact.

Help to employers

We offer support to employers and their employees in career development, identifying training needs, as well as in providing information and advice on training, university courses and financial support offered by Public Employment Services.

Resources

We provide a wide range of paper based and on-line information on:

  • occupations
  • vocational training including courses co-financed with European Social Fund
  • university courses

Specialist books, journals, magazines and guide books are available in our Centre as well as computer stations with Internet access.
