VESTAS - Senior PLM Architect

Finance > Global IT > Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

Global IT is responsible for IT within Vestas Wind Systems A/S. With reference to the Group CFO, Global IT covers all areas from IT strategy, business engagement and capturing to project implementations, infrastructure operations, service integration between vendors and end user support.

This position is in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team. We are a team of highly skilled IT Architects. We engage with business stakeholders to ensure that IT services are appropriately designed, developed and optimised across their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

You will create target architectures and solutions within the PLM domain to be carried out by Architects and Developers, internals as externals. Moreover, you will be a trusted advisor when qualifying the business functional IT requirements ensuring a Vestas holistic view.

As a Senior PLM Architect, you are the technical leader responsible in: 

• Large projects i.e. setting the stage and direction for both the solution and the architects who will deliver on this 
• Collaboration with and understand of the business, being able to put yourself in their place and match it up against the IT architecture we have - seeing solution options rather than limitations
• Essential PLM products, including roadmap, updates / maintenance and not least support setup
• Pipeline processes for the end2end program in Global IT

Qualifications

This role is highly relevant for you with extensive process and experience in PLM of engineering, manufacturing, and service. Furthermore, you probably have:

• A Master's degree in Information Technology (IT) or Engineering, alternatively experience which provide similar knowledge level
• Extensive experience working with IT roadmap and IT architecture design
• Proven history of designing and implementing end2end IT solutions
• Knowledge or experience with stakeholder engagement and management
• Experience from an international company with a complex IT environment
• Great communication skills and fluent in English, both verbal and in writing

Competencies

• You have deep knowledge and understanding of PLM processes such as product and module development, product engineering, document management and engineering change management  
• You have experience with customising and implementing the ERP environment supporting the above processes (SAP environment).
• Understanding of interfaces between SAP modules (preferably with SAP PLM as basis) and other interfaces e.g. PTC Windchill
• You should be good at taking decisions across matrix management and possess a solid understanding of business process mapping and business process management
• Finally, it is essential that you are motivated and a self-starter. You should be motivated by working in teams which consist of colleagues from different business units
