Our client, a global leader in technical field service solutions, is seeking a Field Service Engineer /Technician to join their Dublin-based team and the midlands of Ireland. This is an ideal opportunity for professionals with a background in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical systems—whether from industrial doors, gates, HVAC, lifts, security systems, or similar fields.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be responsible for the on-site servicing, maintenance, and repair of automated access and mechanical systems across commercial and industrial environments. This includes:
- Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing faults in mechanical, hydraulic, or electronic systems
- Performing safety and operational checks
- Providing excellent customer service while working independently on-site
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants with hands-on experience in one or more of the following: automated doors, gates, loading bays, lifts, HVAC, fire/security systems, or industrial equipment. You'll need:
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Familiarity with hydraulic and/or automated systems
- A recognised technical qualification (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- A full driving licence and a flexible, proactive approach

- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Familiarity with hydraulic and/or automated systems
- A recognised technical qualification (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- A full driving licence and a flexible, proactive approach
- Hourly Rate of €17 to 21.00 depending on experience
- Overtime paid at 1.5 times basic hourly rate Monday to Friday after 5pm and Saturday first 4 hours worked. Sunday Double time
- Travel time from when you leave home in the morning to time when you return home is paid for
- Daily Allowance of €16.29 paid tax free as per Revenue approved guideline when away from home for more than 5 hours and 8KLM.
- On-call allowance currently €125 after tax for each time you are on call plus overtime paid for actual hours worked on-call
- Inclusion in Spare Parts incentive scheme – engineers on call share a % of Spare Parts Revenue for the month. This has averaged at over €100 per month for each engineer.
- Annual Holidays of 21 days
- Company Pension Scheme -company matches employee contribution 3%,4% or 5%
- Death in Service Benefit ( 4 Times your salary tax free to your dependants)
