Project Manager for Product Development Projects

Take on a core role in the development of new LEGO Products You will join Product & Marketing Development (PMD) which is globally responsible for all novelty product development throughout the entire value chain. As Project Manager, you will be part of a leadership team with a Design Manager and a Marketing Manager. Together you form a core team that will be fully allocated to the project and physically located in your department. As such, this is an excellent opportunity to become the daily project manager of a very dynamic, multifunctional and international project team consisting of e.g. Designers, Engineers and Marketing Professionals. Project Management with a full value chain perspective In your role as Project manager, your primary focus is to develop and lead the overall timeline for the project. With the full value chain in perspective and special focus on supply chain integration, you assure that the product delivers on model, packing, packaging, logistics and sourcing route. Ultimately, you ensure that all products we bring to market are balanced to meet the consumer's and customer's wishes in terms of quality, price/value and profitability and that we always deliver on time and cost. Another key responsibility is to on-board the project team that consists of both an on-site project team consisting of 15-30 project members and an off-site project team of further 10-20 project members with international backgrounds. You do so in close collaboration with the Design Manager, Marketing Manager and the various Line Managers throughout the organisation. Further, being the Project Manager, you motivate and drive the team forward. Here, the challenge is to lead a diverse on-site core team and off-site project team with members located primarily in Denmark but also globally. Experienced Project Manager with strong leadership skills You probably hold a degree within Engineering or Logistics, or a Master's in Business Administration You have a minimum of 5-10 years' project management experience and/or similar experience from line management You possess a strong understanding of business processes and a solid value chain understanding Your English skills are at a high level. Needless to say, your collaboration skills are excellent, as you will be working closely with the Design Manager and Marketing Manager sharing the leadership responsibility for the project, with Line Managers as well as a number of other internal and external stakeholders. As a leader, you are an excellent motivator and calm and robust go-to-person for your team when navigating in a highly dynamic, uncertain and complex project environment.
