As Project Engineer in our Engineering department, you will have the opportunity to develop tailor-made technical solutions for large, impressive heavy lifting projects. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for interpreting, analysing, calculating and sketching technical drawings ... and you will be able to call on Sarens' extensive fleet of equipment to give the technical solution conceptual form. We are looking for a driven Project Engineer to strengthen our Engineering department within Sarens Projects.

Your tasks as a Project Engineer:

  • You handle requests that come to you via various internal stakeholders: gathering information, analysing plans, estimating technical drawings, etc.
  • Together with your fellow Project Engineers, you devise tailor-made technical solutions. For this purpose, you call upon Sarens' rich fleet of equipment (cranes, pontoons, jack-up material, various support structures, etc.).
  • You make detailed calculations and sketches to further shape the technical concept.
  • You give instructions to the CAD designers to draw the technical solution and necessary lifting plans in detail.
  • You sporadically go on site visits if necessary for the project.
  • You engage in dialogue and are in close contact with the internal stakeholders. For example, you regularly coordinate on the feasibility of the technical solution, customer requirements, etc.

     

In this position, you report to the Teamlead Engineering and work closely with various departments (internal stakeholders).

Requisitos do cargo

We are looking for a driven team player with strong analytical skills. You have a passion for engineering, heavy structures and heavy lifting. You are confident interpreting, analysing, calculating and sketching technical drawings. Using your strong technical insight and conceptual thinking skills, you and your fellow Project Engineers come up with impressive tailor-made technical solutions. You are flexible, independent and you always communicate clearly to your colleagues and internal stakeholders.

The profile requirements

  • Master Industrial or Civil Engineer (e.g. Electromechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering...).
  • Experience as Project Engineer in a technical project environment (ideally in the heavy lifting sector).
  • Interest in the heavy lifting world (the projects, the equipment...).
  • Communicative skills: English = excellent knowledge, knowledge of Dutch, French or German is a plus.
  • Fluent with computers (MS Office). Knowledge of AutoCAD.
