Producer of Restaurant Adventure-experience
We are looking for restaurant personnel to produce adventure-experiences in the unique restaurants of our tourism destinations as the Icebreaker Sampo Cruises, the SnowCastle and other Kemi Tourism Ltd destinations, for our visitors arriving from around the world, for the winter season 2018-2019.
We expect you to show positive and energetic attitude; to be flexible in demanding situations; to possess know-how in customer service and understanding in customer oriented approach. You have eye for creating a successful service experience and desire to produce unforgettable adventure-experiences. You are not afraid of frosty cold; you can handle well challenges and you function in changing situations like it would be your every-day business. The work is seasonal, but for versatile employees we may have other work offers during other seasons also; in addition, permanent positions may be offered too. The work includes waiting at tables- and customer service assignments at various service points both with visitors as well as, amongst others, with our conference guests. Your communication with customers in English is fluent and good, other languages are for advantage. Our clientele consists of tens of different kinds of nationalities. Personnel proficient in Chinese, German and Spanish are particularly needed. We are not interested only in your training, your personality is important to us also. You are in key position to realize unforgettable experiences for our visitors! Note also that your liquor service license is valid.
We create adventure-experiences and our milieu challenges our employees constantly for new-kind of creative thinking and for new operational models. We are heading strongly forward! Currently we are constructing the year-round Main Building for the Kemi SnowCastle region. We will open it by the end of this year. The new building will include versatile services supporting tourism as well as all the service- and reception areas of the whole SnowCastle region. In our products we concentrate in offering local, uniquely adventuresome experiences as well as in offering experiences in what snow and ice can offer, throughout all the four seasons. The new building will include versatile services supporting tourism. The main restaurant will introduce a new and modern arctic menu; the Ice-cream Bar will offer home-made ice-cream. The main attraction, of course, is the cold space of 400 square metres, where visitors can admire the snow- and ice-sculpting exhibitions; the SnowRestaurant and IceBar are located here also. In addition, the building will include sauna- and recreational services, program services, and the souvenir shop. The year-round SnowCastle building will serve international and national visitors as well as locals, and will serve also people attending conferences organized in the area. In the winter, as usual, we build the SnowCastle in the area, with, amongst others, the SnowHotel and -café within its walls.
The employment is of definite duration, starting December 2018, or as agreed. In case needed we assist in finding a place to live in. In Kemi you live in the centre, close to the services, in the vicinity of nature, with convenient connections to other parts of Finland.
