BAT Trieste is seeking an experienced Operations Finance Manager to provide financial insight and strategic guidance to our Operations team. This role involves developing financial strategies, coordinating budgeting, monitoring CapEx, and ensuring the efficiency of operations finance processes. The ideal candidate will proactively contribute to strategic decisions, manage an Operations Finance team, and implement continuous improvements to support BAT’s market-leading position.

Main Responsibilities:
·      To provide Operations management with financial information and Key Performance Indicators on Operations plans and activities, to facilitate effective decision-making and improve efficiency and effectiveness of spend
·      The jobholder proactively participates in the Operations decision-making process bringing financial/business focus to Operations activities as well as an Operations function focus to Financial issues.
·      To co-ordinate the Operations budget/plan and to provide accurate and timely information to help Operations Management monitor ongoing performance.
·      To implement Company procedures that ensures internal controls both within the department and where appropriate within external parties working with the Company.
·      Manages and Develop Ops Finance Team to ensure delivery of financials, planning & reporting, controls.
·      To proactively contribute to the Operations strategic decision process at local level.
·      To identify & drive simplifications in Operations Finance processes & systems, to implement Region solutions at local level
·      Responsibility for CapEx planning and monitoring in Operations.
·      Evaluates the professional performances of the subordinated employees using the assessment criteria in PerforM system
·      Elaborate role profile for subordinates and approve time keeper and overtime.
·      Assesses proactively standard procedures and indicates to superiors oversights of these and suggests improvements
·      Foster a proactive approach to identifying process improvements, collaborating with superiors/main stakeholders to address gaps and recommend enhancements to existing standards and procedures.

 

Skills & Experience
•        Economics Degree
•        Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
•        Experience dealing with external stakeholders
•        Thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant Operation Finance tools and systems, i.e. SAP/HFM/BI/BCP
•        Strong influencing, leadership and interpersonal skills
•        Experience in strategic analysis, planning and execution, performance metrics, project evaluation and commercial acumen
•        Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active, collaborative and consultative
•        Ability to simplify and communicate complex financial information, ensuring clarity and understanding across multiple stakeholder groups
•        Self-driven and proactive, comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to evolving business needs while maintaining a collaborative and consultative approach
•        Fluent in English
