Groomer operator (Snowcat operator)
Norefjell is located only 1.5 hours away from Oslo, surrounded by beautiful nature and vast mountains. The ski resort have ski slopes for all ages and levels of expertise. There are three different kids areas in the ski resort where the kids can meet our mascot Nore Rein.
Our main goal at Norefjell is to create great experiences, we want to be an amusement park consisting of snow. We focus on creating arenas where the whole family can develop their ski abilities and of course have a lot of fun.
At Norefjell you will also find two different terrain parks. The terrain park at Bøseter have a good variation of lines and elements. Our main park is located in the central area with lines and elements for everyone from beginners to more advanced skiers. In our terrain parks you will find elements such as jumps, rails, wall rides and much more.
We are looking for a groomer operator (snow cat operator) for the winter season 2024/2025.
Work takes place in period 16.00 -09.00 and is organized in shifts, so you must like to work in nighttime. It is important you are flexible and motivated to work, and workloads varies with shifts and weather.
Some of the slopes are steep, and the work there requires good judgment from you as a driver to be able to work safe, for yourself and other people.
You must have a good understanding of trail preparation in relation to the quality and safety requirements we set for our guests. You must have an eye for detail and a perfectionist attitude, at the same time you must be cost-conscious and efficient in your work.
We are primarily looking for operators with min. 2 seasons experience but will also consider training of 1-2 person less experienced when needed.
Type of work contract: Seasonal, winter season 2024/2025.
Starting date: In the end of November, or first of December 2024
Ending date: April 2025
Working hours 37,5 hours in a week.
Place of work: Norefjell, municipality of Krødsherad, Viken county, Norway. About 1hr 45 min drive north-west of Oslo
Salary according to working skills.
Beginner’s salary: 180 NOK pr hour (gross), and 80 NOK pr hour in snow groomer supplement.

Skills requirements:
- Driver`s license: B
- Documented experience with alpine preparation/hiking.
- Technical insight and understanding
- Experience with repair work of heavier machines.
- Very good English skills written and spoken
- Knowledge of snow production and groomers preparation.
Desired qualities, prior knowledge, and qualifications
- Experience with park construction and park preparation is a great advantage.
- Ski /snowboard interest.
- Driver`s license at S (snowmobile)
- Course *Documented training for groomers* is an advantage
- Experience with winch machines is a great advantage
