Food & Beverage Manager
We are looking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager.
We are currently looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager who can take the lead and ensure the standard for our dining establishments in the years to come. We are looking for someone with extensive professional expertise in food and beverages, excellent communication skills, and a close connection to operational management. If you also have a solid business understanding, you are the ideal candidate for us.
The new Food & Beverage Manager will be a skilled leader, inspirer, and entrepreneur responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations at our various establishments in Nusfjord. This includes Karoline Restaurant, Landhandelen, Oriana Inn, Spa, Gallery, and other relevant places where food and service are integral to the guest experience.
We provide accommodation on-site at a low monthly rate.
Key tasks:
- Monitor and coordinate operations at Karoline Restaurant, Landhandelen, Oriana Inn, Spa, Gallery, and other areas where food and service are part of the guest experience.
- Ensure that all staff adhere to company guidelines and procedures.
- Preserve food production and maintain the destination's history related to food production.
- Develop strong relationships with local suppliers to ensure high-quality products and services.
- Monitor inventory in collaboration with department managers.
- Develop and manage budgets for the departments.
- Ensure that all food maintains the highest quality, and the guest experience is always outstanding.
- Collaborate closely with the team to develop menus that reflect the restaurant's unique style and include local, seasonal ingredients.
- Monitor and handle guest feedback for continuous improvement of the restaurants' performance and reputation.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, HACCP, and local laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance the offerings of the restaurants.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement new initiatives that improve the guest experience.
- Responsible for hiring qualified staff and shaping a team that supports the development of the food and guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for F&B at the destination.
- Develop and implement an F&B strategy to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Responsible for recruiting, training, and guiding department managers, chefs, waitstaff, and other relevant personnel.
- Plan and coordinate menus and special events at the destination.
- Monitor the budget and ensure cost-effective operation of the food and beverage business.
- Collaborate with other departments at the destination to enhance the guest experience.
Qualifications:
- Strong commitment to local food and quality beverage suppliers.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategies.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other departments at the destination.
- Solid financial understanding and experience with budget monitoring and management.
The position is comprehensive but flexible, with individual managers in the departments being part of your team. You will manage your days based on the activity level in our establishments. The position is part of the leadership group and reports to the General Manager.
