Your mission

As our new Senior UX Designer, you will join the UX Design team in Struer or Lyngby. You will be the one figuring out which magical experiences we want to bring to the future users of Bang & Olufsen’s luxury speakers, televisions and smart audio systems. Our ambition is to build the most desirable audio experience through best-in-class acoustics, seamless connectivity and excellent usability. Your tasks will be to:

  • Help shape our long-term UX vision by investigating market trends, emerging technologies and running consumer-centric design workshops
  • Turn the UX vision into tangible interaction design concepts, in collaboration with the Director of UX
  • Participate in fast-paced new product development projects by building digital prototypes, overseeing UI specifications, and creating the final UX/UI design
  • Collaborate with fellow UX designers, engineers and product marketing team to make sure that UX is a central element in our product appeal.

Your network

You will join a team of 7 UX designers. We are all immensely passionate about UX – and with UX being at the top of Bang & Olufsen’s strategic agenda, we have all the support we need to nurture our passion.

You will be based either in Struer or Lyngby, Denmark, where most of your immediate colleagues are located. There will be up to 20% travel in the role, both within Denmark and internationally.  

What you bring

We imagine that you have 5+ years of experience with UX and UI design – within consumer electronics, preferably in audio/visual products, or other HW/SW systems, like automotive. Therefore, you have experience with incorporating hardware interaction considerations into your designs. You range comfortably across user-led concepting, UX wireframe design and graphical UI design. On top of that, understanding of acoustics is a bonus.

More specifically, you bring:

  • Experience on UX concepting with a long-term scope
  • Direct experience of UX design within standalone hardware and software systems
  • Solid hands-on experience and talent in the craft of designing user interfaces yourself
  • Great collaboration and interpersonal skills allowing you to function well in a complex and multicultural product development environment
  • A BSc or MSc in UX/UI design, graphics design or product design
  • Fluent English communication skills
