Drive the backbone of BESTSELLER’s data transformation
Are you a seasoned data engineer ready to take a leading role in shaping scalable, modern data architecture in a global fashion company? At BESTSELLER, we are on a journey to elevate our data maturity – and we are looking for a senior profile who wants to be part of building our future data platform.
As a Senior Data Engineer in our Data & Analytics department, you’ll become a key driver in our transformation from a legacy SQL-based data warehouse to a modern, cloud-based data mesh built on Snowflake, DBT, and Airflow. You’ll take technical ownership and be trusted to challenge, influence, and deliver solutions that power data-driven decisions across more than 20 brands.
THE TEAM
You will join our B2C Analytics Retail team, working out of Aarhus or Amsterdam. The team supports our retail functions with advanced data solutions and business-critical insights. We are part of a broader Data & Analytics community of 50+ experts, united by the ambition to drive impact through data. Our culture is built on autonomy, trust, and deep technical ownership.
YOUR ROLE
You will play a leading role in maintaining, modernizing and scaling our data infrastructure, contributing with both architectural perspective and hands-on development. You will serve as a sparring partner across the business, shaping the future of our data stack and guiding others through technical complexity.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Driving the migration from our SQL-based legacy systems to a modular Snowflake-based data mesh
- Designing and implementing robust, scalable data pipelines and data models with DBT, Airflow and CI/CD workflows
- Acting as a subject matter expert on performance, architecture, and best practices in modern data engineering
- Partnering with stakeholders across tech, retail, and product to translate complex business needs into future-ready solutions
- Ensuring data integrity and governance through best-in-class monitoring and compliance practices
- Contributing to the development of standards, documentation, and mentoring of less experienced engineers

- Influence the direction of a global company’s data transformation
- Collaborate with international teams in a flat and fast-paced organisation
