About the organisation
For over 20 years, M&E Global has worked at the forefront of defence recruitment and as such, we have a wealth of knowledge in placing ex-military staff into civilian roles. This has given us a unique appreciation of the contribution and sacrifice that people working for the Armed Forces make whilst serving, and continue to do so once they leave the forces.
M&E are committed to being an Armed Forces Friendly company, and we are thrilled to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant to show our support of military personnel. The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces are treated fairly and with respect in the communities, economy and society they serve.
At its heart, the Armed Forces Covenant focuses on helping ensure that members of the Armed Forces and reservists have the same access to public and commercial services as other citizens. The covenant supports serving personnel, service leavers, veterans and their families and is fulfilled by those committed to making a difference.
Armed Forces personnel have a range of unique skills and experience that can hugely benefit the workforce. From high standards of professionalism, behaviour, self-discipline and selfless commitment, as well as leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a team, ex-service personnel have a huge amount of transferable skills - and signing the covenant shows our dedication to helping those who have served our country.
At M&E Global, we have built up a strong reputation in defence recruitment. We offer expertise in aviation, land and marine environments across maintenance, repair, logistics and transportation support, and are experts in helping ex-military personnel in their move back to civilian employment so that they can utilise their skills and get to where they want to be.
Phil Sinclair, MOD Regional Employer Engagement Director, says:
“I am absolutely delighted that such a well-respected and internationally recognised company has joined the Armed Forces Covenant community, and I look forward to working with their management team to foster our ‘partnering with defence’ relationship.
The Armed Forces Covenant is the basis of Defence’s relationship with society. It provides a framework for the linkages with public and private sector employers who regard it as a tangible sign that they are Forces Friendly. Partnering with Defence is good for business, and I look forward to working alongside M&E Global’s senior management team to forge a strong and mutually beneficial relationship that will allow access to a range of talent across the Armed Forces community, whilst also supporting Defence’s People objectives. Welcome to the family.”
About 20,000 personnel leave the Armed Forces every year, whether through the conclusion of their commission, redundancy, or discharge. But leaving the armed forces can be daunting - which is why we manage a range of solutions for our candidates, such as arranging accommodation, travel, and the provision of ancillary equipment.
From CV writing support and interview tips to a dedicated point of contact, we provide individual guidance for each of our candidates. So, if you want to find out more about the contract roles we have available and how we can help people from the forces transition to civilian life, start by looking at our current vacancies here.
