
Technical Sales Specialist

As a Technical Sales Specialist in the SITA Communications and Data Exchange team, you will support sales in identifying solutions and driving business growth. Air transport is the world’s most global industry, and it’s built on global connectivity and powered by data. SITA’s Communications and Data Exchange portfolio securely connects airlines, airports, border agencies and passengers, all over the world and we process more industry data than any other provider.
As the air transport industry continues to evolve you will play a vital role within SITA’s Messaging portfolio by identifying solutions to meet customers’ requirements. You will be working with sales and business unt in the sales process, providing technical sales support to identify the best solution meeting customer requirements.
Reporting into the Messaging Business Solutions team, you will be a part of the Communications and Data Exchange Business Unit - the division within SITA tasked with transforming how the air transport industry connects, communicates, and unlocks the value of its data.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical sales support, in collaboration with commercial sales, for existing and new customers.
- Work with product team to help ensure our solutions are meeting customer requirements and identify new solutions.
- Support internal organizations in understanding how SITA’s Messaging service works.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills.
- Interlock with commercial managers and sales
- Assists with the contribution to the design coordination and development of solutions working with multiple parties both internally and externally.
- Assists with the transfer of projects for implementation.
- Interact with colleagues to gain knowledge and to share ideas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Degree level or equivalent in a technical or business discipline
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- 3-5 years of similar and relevant technical sales experience (preference given to aviation/airport experience)
- Relevant experience in technical support or sales
- Preference given for knowledge/experience of IATA/ICAO messaging standards or related messaging system experience
- Understanding of data exchange technologies
- Pragmatic and logical mindset
- Demonstratable ability to identify customer needs and match technology to meet those requirements.
