Experienced Sous Chef required for the amazing 5-star Castlemartyr Resort in East Cork.

The ideal candidates will have strong experience in a leading 4 or 5-star property.

Working with our Executive Chef and a fantastic team, you will have the opportunity work in an exciting and vibrant environment which will allow you to display your talent and creativity. Excellent package available for the right candidates.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have an enthusiastic, can do attitude and enjoy rising to the challenge
  • Be qualified in professional cookery or equivalent.
  • Have a passion for cooking food and culinary techniques
  • Experience and knowledge of implementing and monitoring HACCP procedures
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager in the implementation of a profitable and cost-effective stock taking system.
  • Assist in the ordering of all purchases and deliveries of fresh produce/dry goods.
  • Ensure all fresh produce deliveries are of the highest standards and taking action regarding unacceptable standards of delivered produce.
  • Assist in the checking of deliveries ensuring all produce is accounted for.
  • Responsible for the Health and Safety and Hygiene standards in the Kitchen
  • Keep all areas of the kitchen clean and hygienic, and safe to work in.
  • Follow rigidly all hygiene regulations.
