Senior Backend Developer (f/d/m)

What to expect

• As a Backend Developer (f/d/m) you work in agile, interdisciplinary teams on modern backends with efficient interfaces and optimized data management.
• Together with your team you make the right technology choice and define, design and implement a sustainable software architecture.
• In our projects you create real added value for our customers, advise them and work with them in a partnership at eye level.
• You contribute your experience and knowledge to optimize existing middleware and backend solutions or switch to the best technology for the job.
• Through code reviews and pair programming you improve the code quality and achieve a better distribution of know-how within the team.
• You will optimize the development, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) processes to improve the quality of the overall solution.
• You extend the code with (automated) tests and set the impetus for infrastructure setups on-premise and in the cloud.

What to provide

• Experience with backend development (e.g. with Java, Scala, Kotlin or Python) in an agile team
• Ability to apply modern software crafting methods (e.g. clean code, TDD, architectural principles).
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge in handling relational SQL and/or document-based NoSQL databases (e.g. MySQL/MariaDB or MongoDB).
• Knowledge in GIT, Jira and CI (e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab-CI, Rancher).
• Dealing with micro service architectures and Cloud Native.
• Bring a strong "You build it, you run it" attitude.
• Experience or a strong interest in cloud and infrastructure topics (with Terraform, Ansible and Cloud Services with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes or Docker).
• You can train and advise the customer technologically and/or methodically. For this you bring a high communication skills and business fluent German language skills.
