Senior Artificial Intelligence (AI) Project Manager

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Artificial Intelligence (AI) Project Manager to join our team in Europe.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex AI projects (generative and predictive AI) from conception to implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, on-time delivery, and adherence to quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional international teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders, to ensure the success of AI initiatives that will enhance our research and development processes.

You will be responsible for projects across Europe and will manage projects at a global level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage AI projects throughout their entire lifecycle—from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, scope, and deliverables, aligning them with strategic objectives.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and budgets.
• Ensure project delivery on time, within scope and budget, while maintaining the required quality standards.
• Identify potential risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
• Regularly communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders.
• Foster strong working relationships with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Utilize project management tools and methodologies to optimize execution and documentation.
• Stay up to date with advancements in AI and project management best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in managing complex projects, with a focus on AI or technology initiatives.
• Excellent understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, MLOps, and software engineering.
• Exceptional project management skills with proficiency in tools such as JIRA or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication skills (in English), along with strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• PMP certification or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
