Press Brake Operator
We are looking for a Press Brake Operator for our client company, SteelSet, located in Lapua, for a long-term position. The recruitment process is conducted in cooperation with SteelSet and Wulff Works.

The selected candidate will work with press brakes, including Aliko, Amada, and Steiner machines. Applicants are expected to be willing to work in two shifts, have a great attitude towards work, be of legal age, and have fluent Finnish language skills. Previous experience in similar tasks or the metal industry, in general, is an advantage. We are also looking for candidates ready to commit for the long term, as our client's need is ongoing, meaning the employment contract will be made on a permanent basis. Work will begin as soon as a suitable candidate is found, according to the agreement.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with press brake machines, such as setting up, operating, and adjusting them.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production plans.
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties.
- Familiarity with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programming and operations, if applicable.
- Precision and Attention to Detail:
- High level of accuracy in measurements and making adjustments.
- Ability to perform quality checks and ensure finished parts meet specified tolerances.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues with the press brake machine or production process.
- Quick decision-making skills in case of machine errors or defects in materials.
- Safety Awareness:
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including proper handling of tools and materials.
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Work Flexibility:
- Willingness to work in shifts
- Ability to work overtime if required to meet production deadlines.
- Teamwork and Communication:
- Good communication skills to work effectively with other team members and supervisors.
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues for problem-solving and improving processes.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in a similar role in the metalworking or manufacturing industry is highly advantageous.
- Experience with specific brands or models of press brake machines (e.g., Amada, Aliko, or Steiner) can be beneficial.
