For our Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) department in our Offshore business region, we are looking for an EHS manager to lead our EHS Advisor team. What are my responsibilities? The EHS Manager must provide strong leadership in Health, Safety and Environment including advice and support to the members of the EHS organization and offshore project teams on back office as well as site level. This entails developing, implementing and maintaining of effective EHS management systems, which will continue to meet client, regulatory and Siemens’ internal requirements. More specifically, your responsibilities will include: • Ensuring a consistent approach and quality by EHS officers assigned to projects • Manage the EHS Advisors' performance and ensure they meet the standards of Siemens Wind Power • Planning of human resources in terms of Advisor headcount and assignments on offshore projects • Acting as a point of contact for escalated issues unable to be solved at project level • Participating in identifying and solving EHS issues • Monitoring, revising and developing EHS processes in the management system • Acting as a direct line manager in regards to HR matters • Assist the EHS Region Head in general department management acting as his deputy including driving processes across the organization with multiple interfaces to technical and commercial support functions What do I need to qualify for this job? You have EHS management experience from the offshore construction industry or similar marine operations area. It is essential that you have offshore or marine experience. Moreover, you are an experienced team manager and possess strong people management skills. You hold relevant professional qualifications in EHS or have documented relevant experience from a similar role – this includes a significant knowledge of EHS legislation and relevant industry standards; e.g. OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISM. You are regarded as an excellent coach who can mentor and communicate skilfully in order to manage a complex setup of stakeholders including clients, subcontractors and authorities. Personally, you are a strong team player with the ability to drive complex tasks in cooperation with management and projects as well as a broad span of Siemens corporate functions. You have good English skills both orally and in writing. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
