Opis oferty pracy

Picture yourself in our Vision Lab, testing a prototype that paves the way for automating quality control for a leading Danish industrial client. You will work closely with colleagues who share your passion for vision technology, and your ideas will become reality—from the initial sketch to the final, customised solution implemented in industry. Does that sound like something for you?

Turning Ideas into Reality – From Lab to Industry
As part of the Robot Technology Centre at Danish Technological Institute, you will create value for our clients by developing innovative solutions to complex problems in vision-guided robot control and industrial process and quality inspection. You will collaborate across industries and with both research institutions and technology/system suppliers. You will participate in research and development projects with leading European partners and continuously transform new knowledge into tangible results for our clients.

Your Day-to-Day
You will be involved throughout the entire process—from selecting sensors and working with 2D, 3D, and hyperspectral camera technologies, to developing rule-based and AI-driven algorithms, conducting laboratory experiments, and implementing solutions at customer sites.

What you can expect in this role:

  • Translating complex challenges into innovative solutions through close collaboration with colleagues and customers.
  • Participating in the entire development cycle: from idea generation, solution design, and building prototypes in the lab to delivering industry-ready solutions.
  • Developing and optimizing AI models for image processing, focusing on automated inspection and quality control.
  • Working in an environment that fosters both personal and professional growth through challenging projects, sharing knowledge with skilled colleagues, and access to our laboratory facilities where you can experiment, test, and develop vision solutions.

Shape the Future of Vision Technology
Your specific responsibilities will depend on your background and experience, and may include:

  • Development of industrial computer vision solutions, such as automated quality control, inspection, or vision-guided robot control.
  • End-to-end process development: solution design, selection of lighting and camera technology, building test setups, designing and developing both rule-based and AI-based vision algorithms, software development, and implementation at the client’s site.
  • Training and optimizing AI models for image processing, with a focus on high performance and robustness.
  • Participating in national and international research and development projects, and staying up to date with new technologies and methods.

Join Danish Technological Institute
You will be part of the Robotics and Automation Centre, where dedicated colleagues with broad and deep expertise develop and implement new technologies in both existing and new products, particularly for the manufacturing and production industry. We are one of Europe’s leading robotics innovators and a respected, in-demand research partner in national and international R&D projects. See examples of our work here.

Are You Our New Colleague?
If you have any questions about the position, please contact Vice Director Jacob Kortbek at +45 72 20 11 52. Application materials may be submitted in either Danish or English.

We are conducting interviews on an ongoing basis. Please send your application as soon as possible and no later than June 5, 2025.

Wymagania dotyczące stanowiska

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

  • Can translate their knowledge of computer vision and image processing into practical solutions—from image acquisition and processing to implementation in industrial systems.
  • Has experience with algorithm development, both rule-based machine vision methods and AI/deep learning for image analysis.
  • Possesses a strong technical background—perhaps with a master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or similar—and is eager to use their knowledge to create real-world results together with the team.

As many of our customers are Danish, we expect you to be open to learning Danish. We will provide the language lessons as part of the job.
