Arla Foods amba is looking for a dedicated and passionate person to support building and driving the innovation direction within Early Life and Family Nutrition in combination with product developments within powder based products.

About the job

Based on our Future 26 strategy specific areas has been identified as areas of knowledge, growth and opportunity. We call them Strongholds. Reporting to the Lead of the Early Life and Family Nutrition Stronghold you will be part of a team of dedicated product developers focused on developing powder based products and solutions for infants, toddlers and families. In your role you can look forward to working with science, technology and nutrition specialists across Innovation ensuring that the right strategy is in place and that it is executed in the best way possible across internal resources and partnerships with start-ups, universities or other relevant vendors. Your responsibilities will be:

  • Defining the long-term road-map for the Organic Early Nutrition and Family Nutrition Strongholds by together with our functional experts defining the right projects across the areas research, science, nutrition, packaging development, physics, consumer science etc that will help us get or remain competitive in the market 5 to 10 years out.
  • Manage the NPD and Stronghold project portfolio for Early Life and Family Nutrition
  • Hands on product development work to deliver powder based products primarily within the Dano and Milex brands of Family Nutrition
  • Equipping your Stronghold Lead  with the needed data to prioritize between the project and collaboration activities available given the people and budget available.
  • Ensuring delivery of the defined road-map via cross-functional teams.

You will be working at the Arla Innovation Centre in the north of Aarhus. The Innovation Centre is at the heart of the Danish Food cluster – ranked first in the EU in terms of business investment in food and drink R&D. You will work with a broad range of different stakeholders across the organization both local and global and will consequently manage and influence a large network.

Who are you

In the position the ability to think long term, drive a strategic agenda, manage a project portfolio and participate in product development projects is key. Consequently your ability to establish relationships, solve challenges, work in very structured way and manage stakeholder is essential. You easily navigate in a professional environment, collaborate across different functional areas and are driven by creating results. Preferably you also have a product development understanding.

Additionally you:

  • Hold a Master degree in Food Science,  Dairy Science, Dairy Engineering or similar relevant education
  • Have a holistic and strategic approach to your tasks and the ability to tie specialists to your category by fostering a sense of unity
  • Business development and portfolio management skills are not a requirement, but a plus
  • Have exceptional communication skill enabling you to deliver clear-cut messages
  • Have excellent English written and spoken skills.
