About the department
CMC Bioassay is a part of CMC Drug Product Development in the R&D organisation. Our focus is to develop and document analytical bioassay methods as well as supply the entire Novo Nordisk development pipeline with analytical results. We are involved from first human dose to phase III where the analytical methods are transferred to QC.
The department has 53 employees and is organised in five teams, and you will head up one of the teams responsible for development of analytical bioassays methods. The team consists of 10 highly skilled and experienced analytical scientists and technicians. Working in CMC Bioassay means; having a strong focus on scientific skills in a dynamic environment with a social and engaging atmosphere.
The job
You will be responsible for the team to meet and exceed project and organisational goals. This means that you make sure you deliver the methods needed, on time, in order for our development pipeline to keep moving along. Your deliverance also includes documentation according to our standards and GMP. Your way to success will by focusing on developing the team and the team members through visible leadership and clear goal setting.
Together with the department manager and your team leader colleagues you will constitute the management team of CMC Bioassay. Through the management team you will be part of setting the overall direction of where we are going and how to get there. This will be the place where you will have the chance to lead the way and be a role model in a LEAN culture environment.
Qualifications
You hold a M.Sc. or equivalent in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy or other relevant scientific discipline. You have proven practical experience in protein analysis and analytical method development. You have a minimum of 2 years of people management experience with a strong track-record, ideally from the pharmaceutical industry.
On a personal level, you have an innovative mind-set and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting. Openness, honesty and focus on continuous improvements and a quality mind-set are natural parts of your personality and the way you work. You have a can-do attitude and focus on opportunities rather than on limitations.
