Sr. Documentation Specialist

Ajilon Technology Aerospace is looking for a Senior Documentation specialist. For an opportunity at one of our international clients.
Job Profile
Under this work package the contractor shall perform document management duties. The environment is customer focused environment which involves a walk-in service desk, a document library specific to the needs of the Directorate, reproduction services, and other customer focused documentation services.
The person shall support the document entry process. The Directorate has a large constant flow of documents that need to be manually inserted into the Documentation Management System. The person will have to interface (apart from the walk-in service) with different projects, Engineers and other outside industrial contractors.
The persons specific duties include, but are not limited to, are:
- Managing a small team of Documentation Specialists (2-3 employees)
- Document registration, distribution and archiving.
- The person shall regularly review the status of documents in the different project/department archives and where appropriate register
- This information in the DMS database.
- Support users for retrieving documents.
- Out of the Documentation Management System
- Out of paper archives
- Out of outside industrial contractors Electronic Documentation Management System (EDMS)
- From other sources like the in-house library , scanned documents on CD-ROM or via Internet
- Provide paper copies of electronic documents on request
- Create electronic versions of documents
- Provide Reproduction Services
- Act as back-up to the service of Document Review Management.
The person shall coordinate with the Configuration Control Engineers in the registration of Documents into the DMS.
For this job, we are looking for candidates with:
- A sound and proven experience in documentation management
- An in-depth knowledge of the HSF documentation management system (DMS)
- A good knowledge of the English language
