Levón-institute is an affiliated educational organisation at the University of Vaasa. The University of Vaasa Open University, EduLab and Continuous Learning operate at the Levón-institute. The mission is to promote lifelong learning, support the education and research of the entire university and promote the renewal of companies, public organisations and individuals.

The two positions are fixed-term employments starting at the beginning of March 2022 (or as agreed) and ending at the end of December 2023. The positions are located in Vaasa.

Your role

In 2020, the University of Vaasa established the EUNICE Network University together with six other European universities. The EUNICE is funded with project funding from the European Commission. The specialists develop the EUNICE Network University in association with teams from University of Vaasa and international partner universities. The specialists will plan, coordinate and implement the tasks related to the different work packages of the EUNICE project and report to the project team. The specialists will take care not only of the project contents but also the schedules, evaluation and reporting. A coherent coordination of the work package contents and actions is an important part of the work.

Specialist 1:

• Your task is to promote and develop the research activities, the digital platform and the working life connections of the EUNICE Network University together with the project team. You will carry out related administrative and development tasks and work closely with EUNICE partners, the university, industry and other stakeholders.

Specialist 2:

• Your task is to coordinate and develop the supply of education of the EUNICE University and to support teachers in the implementation of EUNICE education. You are also responsible for planning and implementing the events, as well as other activities related to the education and student activities of the EUNICE Network University. You will work closely with the EUNICE partners, the university and other stakeholders.

In addition, the role of the specialists may include other tasks related to the international projects of the EUNICE University.

Requirements

As a specialist you must have a relevant master's degree. Any work experience in international projects, project expertise and working in groups and networks as well as knowledge of higher education are seen as beneficial in these positions. You are self-driven, able to work independently and have skills both in interaction and cooperation. Fluent written and spoken English language skills are mandatory. Finnish and other languages skills are considered as an advantage.
