We invite you to join a research group at the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (hereafter EDI) that studies and develops machine learning methods for robot control. We work with both mobile and industrial robots and aim to make them smarter, more autonomous and safer in their interactions with humans. Our near-term work will include research and development of machine learning methods for automatic synthesis of programs to safely control robots; use of graded physics simulations to accelerate learning; research and development of robot perception and semantic mapping systems; and implementation of a control framework for a mobile manupulator.
