TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION SPECIALIST

We are currently looking for a Technical Documentation Specialist for one of our clients in the Danish wind industry. You will be responsible for analyzing method statement for maintenance engineering and create work instructions.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • Experience as a senior technical writer with knowledge about mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Experience in working with illustration tools and 3D models
  • Experience in technical documentation for wind turbines
  • Ability to work independently as well as contributing to teamwork
  • Being proactive and focus on deadlines, outgoing and able to network with colleagues across the company
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and spoken
  • Possessing a valid Danish work permit at the time of application

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Analyzing the input from maintenance engineers (method statements) and create maintenance documents (work instructions) using simplified technical language
  • Participating in validation of maintenance tasks on site to take photos for the final work instructions
  • Proficient in IT applications and PLM systems (Teamcenter) and have experience/interest in topic-based authoring, single sourcing and preferable DITA XML
  • Gathering, systemizing and structuring complex information from engineers
  • Producing high quality, clear and concise work instructions for the service technicians including safe working practices
