Project Manager for Product Technology

Do you have solid project management experience? Would you like to be part of the very core of the LEGO Experience and develop our new LEGO Technology components? Projects within technology component development You will join the Product Technology department and a team of four other project managers. In Product Technology we support the LEGO Organisation with new mechatronics components where complex mechanical mechanisms are combined with electronics, hardware, software etc. Examples of LEGO Technology components are motors, sensors, pneumatic components, bricks with light or sound etc. Lead end-to-end development projects - and help us mature our project management As Project Manager you lead technology development projects from early ideation to mass production that vary in size and complexity, and you will normally manage 1-3 projects at the same time with a typical development process of 1-2 years. Your overall responsibility is to ensure efficient project execution and you have 100 % overview of project plans, resource coordination, time schedules and project economy. In doing so you will need to ensure a close customer collaboration, understand their requirements and excel in stakeholder management. Motivating and leading people are what you do best, and you have a natural interest and passion for people. In doing so, you mobilize and engage your team through excellent facilitation. Moreover, in this position, you can use your project management experience to help us further develop our project management tools and approaches. The global nature of your job takes you travelling 20-30 days per year to lead your projects and meet suppliers, predominantly in Asia. Technical insight and solid stakeholder/project leader skills You have a technical background e.g. a Master's degree in mechanical or electronic engineering or another strong background, giving you a understanding of complex technical development projects Currently, you are probably working as a project manager in a large, international company - ideally a company that has engagements in the Asia region. Your track record has given you solid experience (min. 2-5 years) in managing technical projects with various stakeholders You speak and write English completely fluently As a person, you are outgoing and have a high drive on execution, and you always look for the simple solutions.
