Job description, responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and start-up of projects
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Support the development of a central project register and install a consistent project control system to identify conflict or lack of resources
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Track project milestones and deliverables of all major projects within Open Sky
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project leaders, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Support project manager to define success criteria and milestone plans
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • This is a hands on role where you will manage projects through the full software development lifecycle and carefully monitoring and controlling through each of the phases from initiation to closure

Essential Skills:

  • Either 2+ or 5 years+ experience in a similar project management role in an IT environment.
  • A Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Project Management Tools proficiency
  • Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience in producing detailed project schedules, resource requirements and tracking to schedule.
  • Experience working with Technical Teams, with exposure to the following technologies, .Net, MS SQL, XML
  • Analytical Skills with ability to truly understand the full scope and impact of the project requirements
  • Experience in Requirements Gathering & Documentation, Risk & Issue Management
  • Project Reporting, Ability to present to Customers & manage Customer relationships
  • Proven experience in Test & Delivery Management

Desirable Skills:

  • Project Management Certification is highly desirable
  • Exposure to Project Management of Web based systems development
  • ITIL or similar

Personal Skills

  • Ability to Travel
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English
  • Ability to interface with clients in a professional and efficient manner
  • Excellent business process awareness
