Mechanical Design Engineer

1. In General

• The Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of sensors for the automotive industry and reports to the manager Design Engineering Sensor Products.

1. Most Important tasks and responsibilities:

• Works in project teams on design of sensors;
• Is co-responsible for progress of the project;
• Stays in contact with customers and suppliers on a regular basis;
• Models magnetic circuits using FEA;
• Designs mechanical models using SolidWorks;
• Proves design concept by prototype design measurements.

1. Educational requirements:

• MA education level, mechanical or electrical engineering or applied physics; with 0 - 3 years relevant experience.
• BA education level, mechanical or electrical engineering or applied physics with 0 - 3 years relevant experience.

1. Additional requirements:

• Experience in the area of product design or R&D;
• Good communication skills, written and verbally, in English and Dutch language is an advantage;
• Teamplayer, able to work in multidisciplinary projects teams;
• Knowledge of MS-Office software (Word, Windows, Excel and Outlook);
• Pro-active attitude;
• Prepared to work abroad on a regular basis;
• Capable of setting priorities;
• Enjoys facing challenges;
