As a railway signalling maintenance engineer, your main task is to ensure that the systems installed at our customers' premises remain operational and always available. You ensure that they maintain high availability through system renewal and preventive and corrective maintenance of existing systems.

You can count on practical training. For example, you will participate in the documentation of maintenance and commissioning. You will also participate in measurement campaigns, installation, and commissioning work. You will moreover perform on-site delivery (SAT) tests for track equipment (ETCS, Interlocking) and system components. Finally, you will gain experience on our equipment through laboratory tests.

· Preventive interventions for signalling projects such as data log verification, inspection of registered signalling equipment and preventive replacement of equipment;

· Corrective interventions for signalling projects: identification of problems, resolution of problems by replacement of materials - including software and configuration files;

· Technical support for on-site interventions and problem solving and provide assistance in our customers' rail support center;

· Assist customers in identifying their needs in order to improve the availability and reliability of their systems;

· Ensure proper administration and reporting of information in our CMMS system (Computerized Maintenance Management System);

· Your field of work is Belgium and your schedule is flexible: you will participate in the permanence system with possible interventions after office hours, at night and on weekends. Some of our service activities must also be carried out during the night and on weekends (due to the decommissioning of the railway infrastructure).

Functievereisten

Profile:

· Ideally, you have a bachelor's degree in electronics, ICT, (electro)mechanics or automation;

· You have extensive technical knowledge of mechanical and/or electronic systems (software + hardware), mainly in the field of automation technology. In addition, you have a good basic knowledge of computer systems and networks;

· Knowledge of railway applications is an asset (signalling technology, railway operation, interlocking system);

· You describe yourself as being practice-oriented and problem-solving but also customer-oriented and persistent. In addition to that, you have great adaptability, and you are communicative;

· You are flexible, both in terms of work (everywhere in Belgium) and working time (day work, night work, weekend work and on-call service);

· As you will work anywhere in Belgium, you have a very good verbal command of French. In addition, you have a good knowledge of English.
