Live-In Carers

Caring for seniors is a humbling experience that requires a special person and just the right touch.

We are looking for caring, compassionate individuals to join our Clients team as Live in Carers.

Placements are often 6-8 weeks, with carers returning home for 6-8 weeks before returning to the same client. We have some placements that are longer and can be flexible depending on the needs of the carer.

Caregivers work 7 hours per day, typically assisting client 1-2 hours in the morning, 1-2 hours at lunch, 1-2 hours in the afternoon and 1-2 hours in the evening.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Provide medication reminders

·         Help with bathing, dressing and grooming

·         Help with continence care

·         Assist to eat and drink

·         Provide Dementia / Alzheimer care

·         Provide respite / convalescence care

·         Assist with morning/wake up and evening/tuck in

Requirements:

·         Kind and caring nature

·         Previous care experience necessary

·         Good conversational English

·         Must have the right to work in Ireland

·         Dementia experience is desirable

·         28 days paid holiday – 20 days paid, paid as 8% annual leave entitlement on top of earned wages. 8% payment can be drawn down any time at request of CG

·         Free induction training and access to ongoing, subsidised training. Yep including city and guilds dementia course, QQI courses

·         Support setting up an Irish Bank account – we can pay € into their € bank account in their own country

·         Free airport collection when you first arrive

·         In placement support and ongoing mentoring from your Local Care Managers, a Registered Nursing Team, Specialist Trainers 

·         24/7 emergency support for those days when you need a bit of advice 

·         Paid annual leave based on working patterns
