Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Landscape Maintenance Contracts Manager to oversee, develop and expand our maintenance division. The successful candidate will work alongside the operations manager and be responsible for leading a team of supervisors and operatives, managing client relationships, ensuring project quality, and driving operational efficiency and expansion. This is a key leadership role that supports the growth of our maintenance services and upholds our commitment to quality, excellence and the environment.
Location
The position will be split between our offices in Swords and across our sites in the greater Dublin area.

Key Responsibilities
Team and Operations Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage maintenance crews and supervisors across multiple sites.
- Develop weekly and seasonal work programmes based on client specifications, site conditions, and company standards.
- Conduct regular site audits to ensure works meet quality, health & safety, and environmental standards.
- Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of staff and subcontractors.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the main point of contact for company clients; manage expectations and build strong professional relationships.
- Conduct site meetings and prepare written reports or service updates as required.
- Prepare and manage maintenance contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
Business and Financial Management
- Monitor budgets, costs, and resource use to ensure profitability.
- Work with the estimating and accounts teams to prepare maintenance quotations and variations.
- Identify opportunities for upselling, contract renewals, and business development within existing client accounts.
Quality, Compliance and Sustainability
- Ensure all work adheres to company standards and industry best practices
- Oversee compliance with Irish health and safety regulations including risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
- Implement sustainable landscape maintenance practices (e.g., integrated weed management, pollinator-friendly regimes).
Reporting and Administration
- Work with the administration team to maintain accurate records of site inspections, maintenance reports, client feedback, and team performance.
- Prepare regular operational and financial reports for senior management.
- Use and support digital systems for scheduling, reporting and communication

Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum 5 years' experience in landscape maintenance management or a closely related field.
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple sites and large teams.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, landscape maintenance best practices, and seasonal programming.
- Proven experience in budgeting, contract management, and business development.
Leadership & Operational Skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams across various levels.
- Experience in scheduling, resourcing, and subcontractor coordination.
- Proven track record in implementing and maintaining high standards in quality, H&S, and environmental compliance.
- Comfortable with conducting site audits and performance reviews.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Capable of conducting client meetings, preparing reports, and managing service level agreements.
- Experience acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
Health & Safety
- Strong understanding of Irish Health & Safety regulations, including RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
- Experience in managing and promoting a safe working culture.
Sustainability
- Understanding of and commitment to sustainable maintenance practices (e.g., pollinator plans, chemical reduction, water conservation).
Digital & Reporting Systems
- Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with digital scheduling, reporting, and communication tools (e.g., Timeworks, Microsoft Forms, WhatsApp for site comms).
- Capable of producing and presenting operational and financial reports.
Desirable Requirements
- Qualification in Horticulture, Landscape Management, or related discipline.
- Full clean Irish driving licence.
- Familiarity with software such as PlanSwift, AutoDesk, or other site measurement/reporting tools.
- Experience using cloud platforms like OneDrive for document management.
- Familiarity with CSRD-aligned sustainability reporting (or willingness to undertake training).
