Java Developer (iOPM)
Your tasks and responsibilities
- International Output Management System (iOPM) is used by all standard Kuehne-Nagel applications. It provides a solution for the generation and distribution of electronic business documents via different output channels (print, fax, email, preview, electronic archive, etc.). As a team member of the International Output Management Team (iOPM) department, within the IT Services you will develop innovative software solutions based on agile development methods. First you will design the processes in cooperation with the business side, then implement them in code. When needed, you will participate in projects to connect the iOPM software to other applications within the company. This is an existing application package, so expect some bug fixing, refactoring and optimization. Some 3rd level support will also be needed once in a while. This is a great opportunity to work on a key piece of software, that is used daily by thousands of users within the company.
Your skills and experience
- You have worked on Java EE and have experience with the following frameworks: Spring, JPA/Hibernate, JUnit, GWT
- You have studied IT in a university or have a lot of IT experience
- You have worked in an agile team and used one of the Agile methodologies
- XSLT is not a foreign language to you
- You know how to use Eclipse, Maven, Subversion, Jira, Hudson/Jenkins )
- You have experience with Web Services (SOAP, REST) and JMS
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a must
- It’s great if you have experience programming web applications
- You are able to work in a team that spreads over several countries
