Head of Completion Equipment & Technology

Maersk Oil Danish Operation is looking for the new Head of Completion Equipment & Technology in the Well Services Department in Esbjerg. The Completion Equipment & Technology group consists of 5 Well Equipment Technologists, and our new manager is a team oriented person with a large degree of self-respect and ambitions. We Offer To become part of our Esbjerg Office where we operate all production activities in the Danish sector of the North Sea. Approximately 500 onshore employees are on a daily basis working in the office and the working environment is international, hectic, and characterized by highly skilled and motivated employees. The Well Services Department is responsible for all well related issues being Well Intervention, Well Maintenance, Well Integrity and Well Completion Equipment and Technology. Key Responsibilities The Completion Equipment and Technology Team manage and maintain the stock of completion equipment used in new wells and workovers. The teams highly dedicated completion equipment technologists are preparing new wells designs in close cooperation with well engineering teams in other parts of the Danish Business Unit. The team is also responsible for the Well Services department’s internally owned equipment in close cooperation with vendors and other Well Service teams. Besides having a broad knowledge of completion- and well intervention equipment, the successful candidate will be overall responsible for the following tasks, which are the Completion Equipment and Technology Team’s main responsibilities. That is to: Provide functional specification and forecasting of required Completion Equipment Troubleshooting on equipment and technologies used Maintenance and certification of Maersk owned Surface Equipment and Downhole tools Be an active team player, providing creative and innovative input and support to the ongoing operation in the other Well Services teams Review present technologies on the market and adapt relevant technologies to Well Services requirements. Provide project management expertise to ensure that the various ongoing development and application projects are structured, tracked and reported – both financially and technically Perform required tests in the horizontal test loop of new tools and technologies Lead and motivate the group members Who we are looking for The successful candidate holds a relevant Engineering degree and is characterized by: • Being self-motivated and effective • Ability to lead and motivate the Completion Equipment & Technology Team • Minimum 6-8 years Well experience within the Oil Industry • Team-oriented person • Fluency in written and spoken English is required We will ensure that you will be fully introduced to our business and company to enable you to fill the position and develop both personally and professionally.
