- Preparing tender documents for detailed piping studies.
- Carrying out technical clarifications and participating in the selection of the piping design office (BET) responsible for project studies.
- Acting as an interface between the various engineering disciplines (processes, boiler equipment, civil engineering, structural steelwork, instrumentation, etc.) and the design office.
- Monitoring progress, guiding and approving the work of the design engineer.
- Ensuring that the customer’s technical standards are applied correctly.
- Leading design reviews.

Functievereisten
- You will work in the design office in the piping/general installation team on the design of units such as hydrogen or CO2 liquefiers or cryogenic air separation units.
- You will be working on projects that are usually international and involve several of the customer’s engineering centres.
- You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in piping/general installation, ideally in an engineering environment.
- Alternatively, you will have at least 3 years’ onsite experience supervising mechanical assembly and skills in piping design.
- You know how engineering works, the role of the various disciplines, the interfaces between them and the sequence of a project.
- You have general technical knowledge of mechanics, civil engineering, metal structures and boiler making.
- You are able to work in English with people from different cultures.
- You enjoy working as part of a team.
- You are capable of supervising the work of a detailed design office (regular updates, monitoring progress and schedules, proactive identification of difficulties).
