Job Overview

The Hotel Front Desk Agent will be responsible for greeting and registering guests, providing outstanding guest service during their stay, and settling the guest's account upon completion of their stay. Other duties will include registering guests, making, and modifying reservations, acting as hotel operator, and performing concierge duties.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Greet, communicate with and welcome guests.
  • Check-in, and check out guests when they arrive and leave the premises, distribute keys, and record credit card information.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate office or other facilities of the hotel.
  • Create and update reservations.
  • Double check the In-House reservations (number of pax, rate, meal plan etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of the PMS program.
  • Doing general bookkeeping, ensuring all hotel guest account information is accurate and up to date.
  • Handle complaints and if necessary, inform the Front Office Manager. Record the complaint in the Logbook and always follow up.
  • Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments across the organization.
  • Always take feedback from the guest.
  • Upsell additional facilities and services.
  • Charge the No-Show reservations.
  • Responsible for the cashier.
  • Answer all incoming calls, screening them when needed.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access to the Front Office & Back Office desk.
  • Follow all the Brand/company and Hotel standards.
  • Preparation for the next day’s arrivals (keys, correspondence etc.)
