For EQUANS - Waterways North, part of our Infra division, we are looking for Waterways Electricians. Our headquarters are located in Aartselaar, but you will be employed at various sites near waterways spread across Flanders. Waterways North focuses on the electrical, electronic and electromechanical installations of bridges, locks and weirs on the navigable and non-navigable waterways in the north of the country. The section positions itself as a specialist in the field of engineering and project management for the realisation, monitoring and remote control of these structures.

What exactly does this job entail?

  • you are responsible for the installation of various electromechanical equipment and electrical connections in and around bridges, locks, pumping stations and weirs

  • you have at least a diploma in electricity or electromechanics or are equivalent through experience
  • you are willing to take further training to obtain the necessary certificates required for this position
  • you are familiar with carrying out electrical installations with an industrial character
  • with the help of a diagram, you can independently connect control panels, hydraulic groups, motors, field equipment etc.
  • you know how to tackle things and you can work accurately and independently
  • you have an eye for safety and can deliver quality work
  • you have a driving licence B
