At Maersk Container Industry (MCI), we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Control System Engineer to join our Application Software Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and specifying control strategies and software functionality for our advanced refrigeration systems. You will collaborate closely with our embedded software engineers, translating system behaviour into clear requirements and ensuring that implemented solutions meet specifications.

Your responsibilities
As our Control System Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping how our refrigeration systems behave and perform.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Translating system behaviour and performance requirements into clear specifications for the embedded software development team
- Defining and specifying new system features and control strategies for our refrigeration controller
- Collaborating closely with embedded software engineers, hardware engineers, and external partners
- Supporting troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
- Providing technical input to service and quality teams
What we are looking for
We are looking for a systems thinker with strong analytical skills and a passion for improving complex technical systems.
Professional qualifications
- Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
- Experience with control systems engineering
- Experience with modelling and simulation tools e.g. Simulink
- Knowledge of control design, estimation, and system-level thinking
- Experience with thermodynamic systems is an advantage but not required
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken (Danish is a plus)
