What We Are Looking For
You are an experienced Container Platform Engineer (Kubernetes/DevOps Engineer) and will join a
dedicated and dynamic team. As a member of our Infrastructure Services (IS) department, you will
be responsible for managing and optimizing our container platform, both within our on-premises
environment and in the AWS cloud. You have experience with:
 Container orchestration
 Infrastructure as Code (IAC)
 Cloud technology
You will contribute to making the infrastructure platforms autonomous. This means that customers
can create container platforms via self-service. The container platforms are made available to the
internal users of CM-MC. You have contact with container users (developers and business) to meet
their needs, including continuous delivery, continuous deployment, and infrastructure as code. You
are willing to work in a 24/7 on-call system (1 week every 6 weeks).
Important aspects include:
 Reactive follow-up via incident management
 Assisting in resolving performance issues
 Availability and disaster recovery
Proactive follow-up is done through monitoring, change management, capacity management,
lifecycle management, and service level management. You participate in project work. Projects can
be both business-oriented (deployment of applications to pre-production and production
environments) and technically oriented (technical upgrades, new technologies, ...). Main Tasks:
 Manage and maintain the OpenShift/EKS cluster, with a focus on high availability and
scalability
 Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm
Charts
 Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Groovy scripts for Automated
Deployment
 Monitor Kubernetes clusters (including maintenance, upgrades, and problem solving)
 Work with ArgoCD for application deployment and configuration management, ensuring
consistency
 Collaborate with development teams to optimize container applications for performance
and efficiency
 Implement solutions for monitoring, logging, and alerting for container platform security
 Adhere to best practices for security, compliance, and disaster recovery for container
platforms
 Participate in Agile Scrum processes, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and
retrospectives

Functievereisten

 Team-oriented in finding the most suitable solution
 Bachelor’s degree in computer science with preferably two years of relevant experience with
container platforms
 Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) concepts and tools (Ansible, Terraform, ArgoCD,
GitLab, Groovy, ...)
 Hands-on experience with CI/CD methodologies
 Extensive knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, ECS, Lambda, EKS, ...)
 Familiar with networking concepts and cloud technology
 Work flexibly within a self-organizing agile team (Scrum), but also function well across team
boundaries. Adapt easily to a new environment with ever-changing demands and have
excellent problem-solving skills
 Willing to work in a 24/7 on-call system (1 week every 6 weeks)
