Responsibilities:

  1. Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook delicious and visually appealing dishes with precision and creativity, adhering to the highest quality and presentation standards of the hotel. Execute menu items efficiently and consistently to meet and exceed guest expectations.

  2. Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef and the culinary team to create innovative and enticing menus that cater to a diverse range of tastes while ensuring a focus on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

  3. HACCP Compliance: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of HACCP principles and follow all safety and hygiene protocols in the kitchen to ensure the highest level of food safety and sanitation.

  4. Kitchen Management: Support the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

  5. Training and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to enhance your culinary skills and stay updated with industry trends and best practices.

  6. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including sous chefs, line cooks, and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

  7. Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to guests and respond promptly to any special dietary requests or preferences, ensuring a positive and enjoyable dining experience.

  8. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all kitchen records, including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and inventory management, are accurately maintained and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

  1. Culinary Expertise: Proven experience working as a chef, commis chef, demi chef, sous chef, or executive chef, with a track record of preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.

  2. HACCP Certification: Possess a valid HACCP training certificate to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

  3. English Proficiency: Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with team members and guests.

  4. Hotel Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working in a hotel or fine dining restaurant environment.

  5. Creativity and Passion: Show a genuine passion for food and a creative flair in designing new and exciting dishes that align with the hotel's culinary vision.

  6. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining composure under pressure and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

  7. Team Player: Exhibit strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to achieve common goals.
