
Catering Chef – Huntstown Power Station, Dublin
Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Reporting to Duty Manager
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Catering Chef to join our team at Huntstown Power Station, Dublin. The ideal candidate will prepare and serve fresh, hygienic, and high-quality meals for company staff, ensuring excellent service and efficient kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch meals to a high standard
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP)
- Monitor ingredient levels, handle ordering, and perform stock checks
- Support the Duty Manager in daily operations
- Work efficiently to provide quick, quality service
Requirements:
- Previous experience in catering, canteen, or hospitality kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Experience with ingredient ordering and stock control
- Team player with good communication and time-management skills

Job Requirements – Catering Chef
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Experience:
Minimum 2–3 years of experience working as a Chef or Cook in a catering, canteen, or hospitality environment. - Culinary Skills:
Strong ability to prepare and cook a variety of dishes with consistency, quality, and good presentation. - Food Safety & Hygiene:
In-depth knowledge of HACCP standards, food handling, and hygiene procedures.
Certification in food safety is desirable. - Stock & Ordering:
Experience in ingredient ordering, stock control, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Ability to manage supplies efficiently and minimize food waste. - Teamwork & Communication:
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with other staff and management.
Must report directly to the Duty Manager and follow operational guidelines. - Time Management:
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak service times.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills. - Professionalism & Attitude:
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service.
Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a friendly team environment. - Education (Preferred):
Culinary qualification or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen.
