Burke E. Porter (BEP) Europe is a largely independent sister company of BEP US. From our base in Bruges-Belgium we serve the market in Europe, South America, the Middle East and Asia. Our core business is design and manufacturing of high-tech testing and adjustment equipment for the automobile industry.

 

Job description

Four areas of engineering expertise are essential within BEP: mechanical, electrical, PLC and software. Software systems control the test cycles to be performed on each vehicle that passes through any of our machines at the end of the production line at a car factory. To further increase the stability and flexibility of the foundation classes of our software, a revised architecture is currently being implemented. The new position is within an existing team of highly experienced and qualified people to introduce and guide our new colleague to become one of the main pillars of the development of the new architecture.

Candidate profile (minimum requirements)

  • familiar with OO design principles and has several years of experience programming in C++;
  • holder of a European nationality;
  • willingness to obtain residence in/close to Bruges – Belgium;
  • proficient in English (spoken/written);
