Our teams develop both hardware and software solutions for the Concept_One and C_Two as well as for numerous public and confidential projects, thus positioning Rimac as a leader in the development and production of high-performance EV technology solutions.

The role of a Battery Test Engineer requires a dependable and methodical Engineer for our R&D team who will find and evaluate the performance (electrical, thermal) of our cells, modules and packs, as well as of prototypes and test concepts for the next generation of battery technology.

 

 

1. Responsibilities:

• Researching and validating methods for electrodynamic modeling, especially for the SOC/SOH estimation

• Preparing and testing batteries of various sizes

• Soldering, crimping, building and designing small fixtures

• Programming scripts to evaluate cell performance response

• Programming/upgrading scripts to estimate electrical behavior of cells/battery packs

• Collecting, organizing, processing, and analyzing large quantities of cell test data to evaluate performance

• Summarizing data in test reports

• Organizing test data into databases

• Maintaining and calibrating equipment

 

 

2. Main tasks:

• Maintaining and executing lithium-ion cell tests by using specialized test equipment

• Electrodynamic simulation of battery packs

• Researching and validating methods for electrodynamic modeling

 

 

3. Requirements:

• Knowledge of MATLAB or Phyton

• Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word

• Good knowledge of Lithium-ion based battery cells

• Good electrical knowledge

• Familiarity with electronic circuits

• Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken) is essential

• Communicative team player

• Dependable and methodical (strict attention to detail)

• Self-organized and goal-oriented

• Bachelor's or higher degree in the relevant field of study

• At least 1 year of professional experience

 

 

4. Considered as an advantage:

• Experience in testing and working with lithium-ion batteries

• Experience with SOC and SOH estimation algorithms

• Experience with operating battery testers and thermal chambers

• Good knowledge of battery performance testing standards (IEC 62660, etc.)

• Good knowledge of MATLAB
