Purpose In the Bank 's federated Corporate Data Governance working model, the (Associate) Data and Reporting Officer, internally referred to as (Associate) Officer, acts as representatives of their Directorates, engage in data improvement projects and contribute to the development of the foundations to ensure that data are well governed and managed. In the frame of the EIB bank-wide Corporate Data Governance Strategy to ensure transparent, consistent, compliant and accessible information, you will contribute to data governance, data and business analysis, and user support activities for business data management and IT applications in OCCO. You will engage in data improvement projects in order to ensure that data are well governed and managed ensuring adequate technical support to OCCO operational needs. You will also assist with developing new and improving existing reports. Operating Network In the context of Best Banking Practice (BBP) and the strong commitment of the Bank to implement European Banking regulation applicable to it, the Projects and Change Management Unit of the Office of the Chief Compliance Officer is in charge of the implementation of specific policies that the Bank has adopted in this area, including for Data Governance and Reporting. You will report to the Head of Unit of Project and Change Management Unit and work with the Senior Data Governance and Reporting Officer closely cooperating with the Bank's Data Governance Office (DGO) team in the Corporate Services (CS) Directorate. Within OCCO, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in various divisions, you will also collaborate with the IT and data administration experts as well as data & reporting experts from other directorates. Accountabilities  Prepare and/review data governance deliverables for data-related projects.  Investigate and follow-up on data quality issues impacting OCCO  Contribute on specific improvement projects which focus on bank-wide transversal information/data domains;  Contribute to the development and implementation of data policies in OCCO, incl. standards, principles, projects, processes and solutions;  Execute typical tasks to implement data governance and data management, notably Business Glossary : define and maintain OCCO business terms, data fields and related metadata following the Bank's guidelines  Contribute to the development and improvement of OCCO reports. Data Quality:  identify and analyse data quality issues and root causes  propose sustainable improvements, clean and correct data.  define, apply and monitor quality criteria, metrics and controls; Information architecture:  Contribute to maintain an OCCO operational data model and define how data in the Compliance directorate fit into the wider data landscape; Reporting:  Ensure and coordinate the delivery on internal and external reporting and monitoring tasks, both regular and on an ad-hoc basis. Coordinate with other Directorates to ensure availability of all relevant data.  Perform day-to-day reporting requests from internal and external stakeholders. Project deliverables:  Provide in due time all the DGO deliverables mandatory for IT Projects (Definition of concepts or fields, data model, data quality rules)  Assess data impacts of changes, ensure that related data-centric deliverables are requested in business cases and project charters and mitigate related risks. Transversal activities  Raise awareness of the value of corporate data as an asset and promote governance, definition, quality and organisation of data within OCCO  Reinforce and maintain a network: share knowledge with peers and provide advice to colleagues in the execution of data related activities.  When required, represent the directorate in different working groups on data governance, reporting and data quality.  share knowledge with peers and provide guidance to colleagues within OCCO in the execution of data centric activities or activities with data impacts Qualifications  University degree preferably in the field of Finance, IT, Mathematics or Information management  At least 3 years of relevant professional experience covering data governance activities, business data analysis, data management and documentation, preferably gained in a Financial Institution or in a financial services consultancy  Sound knowledge of Business Object Web Intelligence  Good knowledge in testing of IT applications  Knowledge of a Data Modelling tool (e.g. Sybase Power Designer) and SQL would be an advantage  Knowledge and experience of the technology landscape supporting data governance and data management. Knowledge of best practice frameworks (e.g. DMBOK, BPMN, TIQM) would be an advantage  Knowledge of compliance will be an asset  Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in change initiatives would be an asset.  Good analytical skills, ability to communicate with clarity and concision  Very good knowledge of English and/or French* and good command of the other. Knowledge of other European Union languages would be an advantage.
