Experienced Assistant Manager

The Ideal Candidate:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant Manager will oversee the running of key functions in the hotel, as well as supporting the General Manager, fellow Managers, and Departmental Employees in their roles. This is a hands-on role and requires an excellent level of organisational skills and customer service skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations
• Ensure quality and standards are met consistently
• Ensuring internal & external customers are offering exceptional customer service
• Anticipate guest needs, and proactively manage their expectations
• Assist with the management of the hotel’s daily operations, ensuring delivery of exceptional guest service from each department
• Ensure prompt resolution of customer issues
• Attend company meetings as requested
• Attendance of any training courses required by senior management
• Have full knowledge of the hotel and all departments
• Ensure all employees implement health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Have previous supervisory experience within the Hotel or Hospitality Industry.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Be able to manage people and organise daily operations
• Good organisational & interpersonal skills with a flexible approach to work
• Have a passion for their role within the Department
• Have a mature and pleasant manner for dealing with customers and team members alike
• Have fluent oral and written English
• Be capable of excellent upselling all areas of the Hotel, and other hotels in the group
• Have good technical & IT skills
• Background knowledge of Hotsoft & Volante would be a particular advantage
